Full Job Description
As a Linguistic Reviewer (EN → zh-TW), you will review content for the Taiwan market across diverse domains. You will ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, consistent, and on schedule, maintaining the quality bar required by global clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review English → Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) translations within agreed timelines.
- Ensure all output meets company and client quality standards and follows style guides, glossaries, and tone of voice.
- Perform linguistic quality checks (LQC/LQA) on third-party deliverables; report issues with clear category/severity.
- Provide constructive feedback to editors/translators to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate and collaborate with project teams: share progress, flag risks, support client updates, and attend team meetings.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience as an EN → zh-TW translator/reviewer (freelance or in-house).
- Native speaker of Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) with strong English comprehension.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree (Linguistics, Translation, Localization, Communications, or related preferred).
- Strong team player and problem solver with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones.
- Preferred: experience in translation, copywriting, content management, or marketing; familiarity with gaming and IT terminology.
